Through programs such as the Ontario Fire Protection Grant Program, fire departments across the province have access to funding that helps them invest in essential resources, including turnout gear. These investments not only support first responders but also help sustain Ontario manufacturing jobs.

At Starfield LION's Toronto facility, more than 100 skilled workers design and handcraft custom-tailored turnout suits for firefighters across Canada. Every garment is built with a singular purpose: helping protect the first responders who protect our communities.

That commitment was recently reflected in the Timmins Fire Department's purchase of 100 sets of Starfield LION bunker gear as part of a phased replacement program.
