Sandra and Jamie, the dynamic duo behind Blue Coast Bitters, are turning heads in the cocktail world with their handcrafted bitters, made with passion in Sarnia, Ontario.
Their long-time interest in touring wineries, distilleries and breweries helped introduce them to the world of cocktail bitters. The craft alcohol industry has been experiencing a boom over the past decade, fueled by customers growing desire for better quality and unique products. After years of perfecting their recipes, they officially launched Blue Coast Bitters in January 2023, sharing their love for bold flavours with the world.
They want to show others how bitters can help elevate your cocktail experience. Bitters add flavour and complexity to cocktails, they can intensify the flavour of other ingredients, decrease the harshness of the spirits/alcohol in your cocktail and round out an overly sweet beverage.
What began as a fun hobby for Sandra and Jamie, has grown into a passion. Their bitters are personally hand crafted from start to finish, including all production, bottling, sales and distribution.
This past spring, their bitters won 5 medals in the Canadian Artisan Spirits Competition, including 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 3 Bronze Medals.
In August, their bitters were entered into the Best Cocktails Spirits Competition, where their bitters won 8 medals, including 6 Gold and 2 Silver.
