Continuing a Legacy: How Laurysen Kitchens is Building for the Future

Published on:

Laurysen Kitchens has always had a warm, welcoming, family-oriented spirit, but there is an undeniable feeling of excitement in the air these days. That’s because plans for a bigger and better production facility are well underway.

Family-Owned, Forward-Thinking

Laurysen Kitchens is a household name in Ottawa—one that is synonymous with exceptional Ontario-made quality and craftsmanship. Ever since 1970, when John and Adri Laurysen started the business out of their garage, area residents have trusted the company to provide the best cabinetry and designs for their kitchens, baths, closets, home offices, and more.

The company is now run by second and third-generation Laurysens (namely Bill, Caroline, Corey and Michael), but no one is more excited about the new facility than Adri, and she visits the site often to check out the progress.

Buzz About the New Building

On any given day, you’ll find employees and customers chatting about the pending move, which will take place in 2024.

Laurysen’s new cutting-edge manufacturing plant is being built in Carleton Place, Ontario. The new 100,000 sq ft facility will almost double the existing space, allowing the company to bring in new state-of-the-art equipment and significantly increase production capacity. This will help meet the growing demand for Laurysen’s products and reduce delivery lead times—something that will surely make homeowners and contractors very happy!

Craftsmanship and Quality

John Laurysen’s reputation for craftsmanship and quality remains at the heart of Laurysen Kitchen’s success, and the new facility only promises to enhance these standards.

Every kitchen cabinet, vanity and custom closet is carefully crafted by skilled artisans who take pride in their work. With a keen eye for detail, Laurysen employees create beautiful pieces that are both functional and durable.

Customization and Innovation

What else sets Laurysen Kitchens apart? The ability to provide custom solutions. Laurysen creates cabinetry and closets to perfectly fit any space because they know each customer’s kitchen, bath, closet, pantry, mudroom or laundry room is unique.

From custom sizes and layouts to handpicked finishes and hardware, Laurysen Kitchens works closely with every customer to bring their design dreams to life.

Community Involvement

At Laurysen, creating a sense of community is a core value, and not surprisingly, it comes naturally to the entire team. Thanks to the strong, supportive family dynamic that permeates throughout the business, the company has made a habit of lending a helping hand.

Whether it is donating to a local food bank or sports team, or supporting a charitable organization such as the Ronald McDonald House, Laurysen gets involved and gives back.

Ontario Made and Growing Strong

Laurysen's new facility will further enhance production capabilities and allow the company to build upon the family legacy of providing exceptional quality and craftsmanship to Ontarians.

Without a doubt, Laurysen Kitchens is proud to produce Ontario-made products.
