At just 16, Chris Mota began his journey into the manufacturing industry as a summer job, which eventually led him to his current role as a Concrete Finisher at MCON Products.
With his father working at MCON for decades, Chris decided to give it a try. That summer job turned into something much more than just a paycheck; it became the start of a lifelong career. After returning for another summer, Chris joined MCON full-time at 20, and he's been with the company ever since.
Over the years, Chris has passionately dedicated himself to the concrete industry, becoming an expert in the craft. His love for working with his hands is at the core of what drives him every day. That passion extends beyond his job at MCON. Chris started a side project called “Concrete Creations by Chris,” where he handcrafts concrete figurines—everything from turtles to alligators and gnomes—that serve as unique garden features.
Chris loves the manufacturing sector because it allows him to see the direct results of his hard work, and he finds fulfillment in creating something tangible, whether at MCON or through his personal projects. His story is one of dedication, craftsmanship, and a deep-rooted passion for concrete that’s lasted for decades.
