Chai Spiced Cake
Our Chai Spiced Cake is the only all-natural loaf cake on the Canadian market with a shelf life of over 6 weeks. It’s crafted from locally sourced, unbleached flour from London’s Arva Flour Mill and premium ingredients. We use grapeseed oil instead of canola oil and pure vanilla extract. Beyond its unique flavor, we’ve fine-tuned the sugar content to the lowest possible for a cake, with only 10g of dark brown sugar per 50g slice. Our cakes are free from artificial additives, preservatives, colors, and flavors. This cake is inspired by the famous breakfast cake served at our family's beloved Tiffany Confectionery in Tehran for over 60 years.
It comes in three varieties:
1. Chai Spiced Walnut Raisin Cake: Each 500g loaf contains 25g of walnuts and 25g of raisins mixed into the batter.
2. Chai Spiced Walnut Cake: For those who prefer no raisins, each 500g loaf contains 25g of walnuts mixed into the batter.
3. Chai Spiced Cake: For clients who are allergic to nuts or prefer no raisins, each 500g loaf is made plain with just the chai spiced flavor.
We use an all-natural preservative made from tapioca flour and rowanberry fruit extract, ensuring our cakes are genuinely all-natural and clean-label. This is complemented by locally sourced, artisan DAISY hard flour from Arva Flour Mill. The unbleached nature of the flour means it is not chemically processed to whiten the color.
This is the first all-natural loaf cake of its kind on the market. It features a familiar autumnal warmth, with a chai flavor enhanced by freshly ground cardamom, which we grind for each bake. It’s the perfect treat for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and any special occasion. It’s especially delightful when paired with a cup of chai.
The all-natural ingredients and extended shelf life of our Chai Spiced loaves (8 weeks), combined with their unique flavor profile, low sugar content, and attractive packaging, have made them a favorite among Londoners. They are popular at our factory outlet at London’s Western Fair Market, as well as at select vendors like Arva Flour Mill’s store and Jill’s Table in London. Our loaves are also well-received by visitors at various markets across southwestern Ontario, where we have participated as vendors, including Pinery Market at Grand Bend, St. Jacob’s Sip and Shop Christmas Night Markets, and London’s Hyde Park Christmas Market.
Our cakes stay fresh for up to 8 weeks without refrigeration. For optimal moisture, we recommend consuming them within 4 weeks of the bake date. If refrigerated, they can remain as fresh as new for up to 6 weeks. Our loaf cake, with its unique packaging, also freezes well. It can be enjoyed fresh after thawing in the refrigerator for about 90 minutes.
