Chain Lube C845

Chain Lube C845 was developed to be a more environmentally friendly lubricant compared to solvent-based chain lubricants. Chain Lube C845 has a high water content, which essentially eliminates any fire hazard. Furthermore, any volatiles emitted by Chain Lube C845 are water vapour as opposed to solvent vapours, which are hazardous to the environment. Chain Lube C845 is compatible with water-based cathodic dip coatings. The water-soluble synthetic fluid in the formulation offers hydrodynamic lubrication capabilities for a wide variety of chain types, including caterpillar drive chains. Chain Lube C845 contains a water-soluble molybdenum disulphide that works to reduce friction, wear and energy consumption. The molybdenum disulphide also provides boundary lubrication and dry film protection.
Chain Lube C845 can be applied to chains at temperatures from ambient to 90 °C (194 °F), but the dry film can lubricate at temperatures up to 315 °C (600 °F).
Chain Lube C845 was specially formulated to be applied by ALT’s automated lubrication systems.
