About a year ago I noticed that my wooden blocking board was cracking from wet blocking my granny squares. I thought there had to be a better solution. There are a few different types of blocking boards you can purchase but, I wasn't excited about any of the options I was seeing so I created my own, Glitter Boards.
These blocking boards are made from a high quality resin blend making it more durable and lustrous than other art resin products. Adding to the shine is a generous portion of glitter, alcohol ink and mica pigments to create the unique board you are currently viewing. Each Glitter Board is one of a kind so if you see one you like buy it before someone else does!
WHY USE A BLOCKING BOARD?
A blocking board is used to flatten curled fabrics and even out tension giving your finished piece a polished result. Trust me when I tell you it transformed my very first granny "squares" into actual squares! I couldn't believe the difference it made.
HOW TO USE A BLOCKING BOARD
Lay your project on the board and insert the pins into holes around the corners of your project so it is taught. You may add more pins to the sides if your project is large. Leave your project blocked overnight and come back to flat, uniform results the next morning. You're now ready to assemble your pieces together!
