Eternal Flow
With this piece, I really wanted to capture a sense of perpetual motion. I’ve always been drawn to shapes that look like they’re still in the process of growing or turning, and Eternal Flow is my attempt at freezing that movement in a solid medium.
I chose to mount it on a base of Black Walnut. This specific piece of walnut has a distinct curly texture; I picked it because the figure in the grain matches the physical twists and turns of the sculpture itself, making the whole piece feel like one continuous thought.
