Hung/Sliding Windows
Double-hung windows have two sashes that slide open – one from the top and one from the bottom. In a single-hung window, the top sash is fixed and the bottom one slides up to open. Traditional horizontal sliders open a small area for ventilation – usually combined with a larger fixed window.
