Maple Canada Long Sleeve T-shirt
The maple leaf is a well recognized emblem of Canada but did you know that the three maple leaves on the Canadian coat of arms symbolize a nation comprised of many different people? Or, that the single maple leaf on the Canadian flag signifies the unity of these people?
The maple leaf shown here is based on that of a sugar maple, one of ten species of maple (genus Acer) that grow in Canada. The maple leaf on the Canadian flag, which became the official national flag of Canada in 1965, is a stylized representation of a sugar maple leaf.
The maple tree became an official arboreal emblem of Canada in 1996.
