Ontario Peaches screenprint poster
This cheeky poster honours the juicy glory that is Ontario peach season in Canada. The poster is 14x11" in size, screenprinted in Hamilton, Ontario on lovely white 290gsm Coventry Rag Vellum.
We used a bright orange Pantone 122U for the peaches and a deeper, mellow 5757U green for the leaves. I came up with the poster concept; it was illustrated by Jarett Sitter, based in Calgary. Some of the inspiration for the poster came from Tampopo (a wonderful old Japanese film in which an older lady loves to squish peaches at the grocery store..), Belgian comic books, the 1964 sleuth film "A Shot in the Dark" (its burglar graphics used in the title sequence), and, of course, Ontario's wonderful peaches.
