ORiON Production Interface
The Nexas ORiON Production Interface is the next-generation DNC connection to machine tool controls. From older serial-based systems to newer networkable CNC Controllers, the OPI Unit can optimize connectivity and reduce setup time.
The unit, also called the Universal Machine Interface (UMI) in the USA when we export, can enable real-time MTConnect production data from almost any legacy machine tool controller. Embedded DNC/MDC functionality in a smart, fanless package is needed for secure, CMMC & ITAR-compliant connectivity.
We also solve the SMB V1 to V3 problem for IT Managers and provide Linux future flexibility on the factory floor. It is like a low-cost retrofit for machine tool communications - and made right here in Hamilton, Ontario.
