Original portrait oil painting of people and pets. Commissions and custom artwork welcome.
Portraits are about tribute and memory, as well as likeness. This is why they may also be of objects. For example, that favourite canoe, the beautiful old tree, the childhood home.
Portraits include Dr. Oscar Peterson (The Living Arts Centre, Mississauga), Dean of Dentistry (McGill), a police squad, an RCMP graduate, and an award winning large scale portrait of an army private.
Due to the pandemic, I mostly work from photos supplied. I enjoy working from black and white photos and creating the portrait in full colour.
