Raw Shetland Sheep Wool
Winterhill Forest Farm Raw Shetland Wool
Sourced from our flock of heritage-breed Shetland sheep, our raw Shetland wool is prized for its softness, durability, and natural range of colours. Raised on our farm in rural Flamborough, Ontario, our sheep roam freely on 20 acres of pasture, producing high-quality fleeces perfect for hand spinning, felting, and other fibre arts.
We are proud to supply our wool to artisans, fibre enthusiasts, and historical reenactment groups. Our fleeces have been used by Fanshawe Pioneer Village and Sigtryggring, Ontario’s largest Viking reenactment group, for authentic hand-spun garments.
We offer raw, unwashed fleeces in a variety of natural shades, from creamy white to deep brown, as well as carefully skirted wool for those seeking an easier preparation process.
Experience the beauty of heritage fibre, grown in Ontario.
📍 Available locally. Custom orders welcome.
