Static Ripple

"Static Ripple" is a continuation of my 'Timber Tectonics' series, an exploration into the "Engineered Organic" aesthetic. This wall sculpture seeks to capture the paradox of kinetic energy frozen within an ancient, static medium. The composition features a central convergence point from which deep, undulating waves radiate outward, interacting directly with the natural flow of the Parota wood grain.

The creation of this piece relies on a precise hybrid of machine and handwork. The piece is finished with a natural hardwax oil, which permeates the wood to enrich the tonal depth of the grain while maintaining a tactile, organic surface free of artificial gloss.
