Wakefield Bridge Steel shingles

Wakefield Bridge Steel shingles

Made to withstand high winds
Wakefield Bridge® steel shingles are manufactured in compliance with the High Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) provisions of the Florida Building Code. They can withstand high winds (TAS100, Miami-Dade, 177 km/h) and offer Class A fire resistance (ASTM E108).

Lightweight, recyclable, and reflective
Wakefield Bridge® steel shingles are up to 60% lighter than asphalt, cedar, slate, concrete, and clay roofing shingles. They’re more durable than all these materials, except for the heavier and more expensive slate, and are much stronger than aluminum shingles.

Wakefield Bridge® steel shingles feature a stucco-like textured finish for enhanced rigidity and a more distinguished look. They’re protected by our proven Kynar 500® resin-based PVDF paint and state-of-the-art Cool Roof® reflective technology, offering exceptional protection against solar radiation and reducing air-conditioning costs in the summer.

Best of all, our shingles are made from new and recycled steel. Unlike common asphalt shingles, which are made from fossil fuels, our steel shingles aren’t subject to global oil price fluctuations—ours are a more stable and sustainable option. While asphalt shingles risk clogging up landfills, steel shingles are fully recyclable.
