Discovering our love for these beautiful animals has been a real treat! Our alpaca herd has grown into a family farm, operating as a daughter/mother partnership. Forest Cove is home to Alpacas with unique personalities, colours and genetics! We strive for excellence in fleece quality, temperament & genetics.
We are located on the outskirts of the Algonquin Park, 1.5 hours North West of Ottawa in the picturesque Upper Ottawa Valley where the air is fresh, the Ottawa River flows and Natures Beauty is inspiring. Our farm is open to the public a few days per week. If you're visiting - our Alpacas and Boutique are a great tourist attraction in the area. We welcome visitors to walk the self-guided educational trails which leads you through the forested area and animal enclosures, while embracing the nature and admiring alpacas from the fence line, or take part in a guided tour for a more intimate encounter with the alpacas. The Farm also encourages group events and family experiences all year! Needless to say, the alpacas are an instant hit with locals and tourists alike.
We believe every Alpaca has a purpose - whether your interest lies in family friendly quality males, luxury fibre producers, agritourism fence greeters or exceptional breeding stock with champion genetics, we raise them all. Our excitement is in moving the Alpaca Industry forward together as a community. Our breeding initiatives result in the progress & commitment of the next generation of Alpacas. As clients, you soon become friends and part of the extended family herd! Our goal is to make a difference from head to toe!!
Our onsite farm boutique displays the luxurious alpaca fibre in garments and products for all ages & needs in various natural colours and blends. Also, an array of handmade products, creative pottery, handmade soap and several other Ontario/Canadian-made products.
Forest Cove Alpacas are dual registered both in Canada (CLAA) Canadian Llama & Alpaca Association & USA (AOA) Alpaca Owners Association.
