Home & Away Jewellery

Home & Away map jewellery celebrates community, way-finding and wanderlust.  The range of ready-to-wear pendants are miniature graphic abstractions of roadways and natural features that characterize specific Canadian locations.  At 75 designs and growing, the collection encompasses neighbourhoods, rural routes, cities, provinces, and parks.  Crafted in sterling silver or 10 karat gold, every piece thoughtfully includes a corresponding paper map for easy gifting.

Home & Away was launched in 2019 by designer/goldsmith Shoshana Farber to acknowledge the ways in which locality informs our experiences and narratives - and as such, these subtle artworks often evoke conversation and personal reflection.

Shoshana Farber has spent almost two decades as a goldsmith, creating small-batch production lines and one-of-a-kind works under the name Showsh Designs. Her studios are intentionally low-tech and located in Toronto (Home) & Minden (Away), and her award-winning jewellery is sold at shows and in galleries nationwide. A believer in slow-made goods and artisanal processes, every piece of jewellery is fabricated individually by Shoshana herself.
