As a locally owned and operated social enterprise, we take a proactive role in our Northeastern Ontario community to support new ideas and processes that will lead to improved waste management, knowledge and an overall healthier community. We do this by working with other value based local, Ontario and Canadian owned businesses in the hope to maximize and normalize mindful materials, create value from waste and replace current norms with more environmentally sound products and processes (most products we carry are package free, sold in bulk or reclaimed/upcycled formats). this mission based practice is a driving force for all nickel refillery team members. By implementing circular economy principles, we also prioritize minimizing the use of virgin resources in production and design; and reduce waste, pollution, and carbon emissions. We have a diverse selection of people & planet friendly household cleaners, personal care + lifestyle products and many DIY ingredients (clays, carrier oils, salts etc...) to make your own products! In addition, we support this mission day-to-day by offering our products via jar deposits and upcycled/reusable pre-sanitized jars and support new ways of doing business such as using upcycled materials for shipments, deliveries in batch areas, offering text & emailed receipts vs. default auto printing.
