An independent specialist in handmade furniture, bespoke cabinetry and architectural woodwork in the Greater Toronto Area since 1995.

A resourceful designer-maker, Steve Culumovic uses local, sustainably sourced woods including storm-felled urban trees of sentimental value, and ash culled to prevent the spread of the Emerald ash borer, to create furniture with personal stories. Large scale projects include hand crafted, period appropriate cabinetry, mouldings and doors.

With a well established practice of sourcing Ontario and Canadian wood products, Steve preserves a level of craftsmanship and understanding of traditional joinery methods not easily found today. Out of his flexible creative shop, he provides collaborative design, low VOC finishes, milling and custom lathe-turned hardware.
