Boozjoo! My name is Lisa June Byers and in 2016, I became a Certified Aromatherapy Health Professional (CAHP) with the Canadian Federation of Aromatherapists. My Kokum is Ojibwe and a member of Wabauskang First Nation in North-Western Ontario. I identify as someone with mixed heritage including Ojibwe, Irish and Scottish; my aromatherapy education and Indigenous heritage inform both the quality and selection of the 100% pure essential oils we carry as well as my jewelry designs. Find my proprietary blends, aromatherapy diffuser jewelry and felted accessories at ljturtle.ca.
For the third year in a row, I am proud to be fundraising for the Woodland Cultural Centre's 'Cycle of Ceremonies' language project with my handcrafted acorn diffusers. To-date, I have raised over $20K by selling over 3, 000 of my felted aromatherapy diffuser acorns. My fundraising effort include education to highlight that many residential school buildings have been demolished and their histories simply forgotten.
I am located in Guelph, Ontario, which is situated on the ancestral homelands of the Anishinaabek Peoples, specifically the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.
