My Art showcases my Pride & Passion for my Indigenous Culture.
Originally I did a lot of woodworking/carving but graduated to Moose Antler Carving over the years. Copper is my most recent medium I-love working & learning with Copper for its beauty, protection and healing properties It is my Passion to Create & to share my Culture & knowledge through my Art
I am a Moose Antler Carver, Coppersmith & Artist Black Smith. My Grandfather Ed Nolan was a Blacksmith in the Wawa mine, so it is in my blood. I carve Moose Antler & design using pyrography, no paint or stain to showcase my passion for my culture ,nature and animals. Each piece tells a unique story and is one of a kind, I design & make, copper works, wall Art & jewellery. I Hand Hammer & Heat Treat copper with torches to obtain spectacular colours. I Forge knives to trade for Moose antler to carve.
My Art is thoughtfully made and traditionally sourced. Customers are looking for my unique, hand crafted art, but they are also wanting the story / the meaning of each piece and to learn about indigenous culture, It is my Passion to Create & to share my Culture & knowledge through my Art.I have followed the Pow Wow trail across Canada for many years enjoying the Native Celebrations & Culture & selling my Art. I also sell my Art online, Galleries and Indigenous venues- I-still have more learning/sharing & work to do!
