Levitate Foods Inc. is a Ontario-based food startup making the only lupin-based tempeh on the Canadian market, a soy-free, high-protein, high-fibre fermented food made from whole lupin beans and hemp seed. Created by a Registered Dietitian and a chef, its line includes The OG, a plain tempeh for cooking and marinating at home, and Sweet Chili, a pre-marinated version that's ready in about five minutes. Guided by its mission of "making it easy for everyone to eat and enjoy beans, every day," Levitate is preparing for a retail launch in January 2027.
