Avo & Olive was born out of a simple frustration: why do so many store-bought dressings, sauces, and mayonnaises read like a chemistry exam?
Salt. Sugar. Seed oils. Preservatives. Stabilizers. Ingredients you can't pronounce, defending ingredients you don't want.
We decided to fix that.
Founded in Vaughan by two people who love this province and believe Ontarians deserve better than what lines most grocery store shelves, Avo & Olive crafts artisanal small-batch dressings, hot sauces, and mayonnaises that don't ask you to compromise. Every product is made in our certified Etobicoke kitchen using exclusively extra virgin olive oil and avocado oil — nothing cheaper, nothing hidden.
No added salt. No added sugar. No seed oils. No artificial preservatives. No MSG. No carrageenan. No "natural flavours." No fine print.
These are the kinds of ingredients you'll find in mass-produced condiments made by people who've never tasted what they're selling. We tasted everything. We couldn't bring ourselves to add any of it.
We're not a factory. We're not a brand built in a boardroom. We're a small, obsessive operation — two people who make things they'd put on their own family's table, because they do, every single day. No robots. No giant warehouses. Just craft, care, and an unreasonable commitment to getting it right.
Ontario is home. It's where we cook, where we shop, where we raise our families — and it's where we want to make a difference, one honest jar at a time. Supporting local isn't a marketing line for us. It's the whole point.
