Quilted Throw Blanket

This gorgeous, one of a kind throw quilt is generously sized, measuring about 82 inches square (208 cm). Wonderful for decor and snuggling alike, it is perfect for your living room or family room. Chalk full of warm and welcoming charm, the beautiful patchwork uses a unique blend of appealing cotton fabrics and piecing. Each patchwork house has a different patchwork block and uses fabrics from a coordinating collection called Clementine's Bonnet. This little village of houses is surrounded by borders and rows of those cute scrappy patchwork trees. The soft flannel backing it a dark forest green.

Quilting is done with a freemotion paisley design. This means freehand machine stitching, not computer. Binding is the same flannel as the back and attached by machine for added durability.

All aspects of the quilt, from fabric choice to cutting, stitching, quilting and finishing, were completed by myself, in my rural Ontario home. (smoke and pet free). Collectively, there are many, many hours of work and care represented in this quilt.

Additionally, I have washed this quilt once so that you don't have to be intimidated by the laundering process. It is preshrunk, colorfast, and fabrics are soft and pliable with that old fashioned crinkly look that is typical of handmade quilts.
