Zafraan Noir
Ria’s fondest childhood memory is of tip‑toeing through her grandmother’s rose garden at dusk, following the warm glow of a small brass lamp to the kitchen veranda. There, a simmering pot of tea released ribbons of fragrance—rose petals from that same garden, a thread of golden saffron gifted by a visiting aunt from Kashmir, and the quiet hum of cardamom, cinnamon, and clove.
Her grandmother would call this brew “bikelbalar rajader chaa”—an evening gathering for the heart. Years later, in Canada, Ria re‑created the blend after finding a single dried rose petal inside one of her grandmother’s books. Zafraan Noir is that chapter, steeped: bold black tea layered with rose’s romance and saffron’s regal glow. It invites you to pause at twilight, sip slowly, and feel the hush of a Mughal garden return.
Taste the hush of dusk, and let the night bloom.
